Megha
has been a Kripalu Yoga teacher since 1984. She was drawn
to Kripalu Yoga due to its roots in meditation-in-motion.
Kripalu Yoga is the yoga of the heart. It is a compassionate
practice, one that asks students to attune to their own body
and individual needs, rather than become a slave to yoga.
For
many years Megha was also the Director of Kripalu Yoga Teacher
Training. Since 1984 she has been a member of the Kripalu
Yoga team, teaching gentle, moderate, and intermediate level
classes at Kripalu..
When Megha
discovered Kripalu DansKinetics in 1983 a whole new world
opened up for her. At last she found a form of dance that
anyone could do. Having spent much of her life in dance studios,
she experienced firsthand the difficulties, body hatred, and
fear suffered by student and professional dancers.
Megha
has witnessed hundreds of people begin a class by saying,
"I am not a dancer," or "I am a clutz," and by the end of
class they feel terrific. The healing power of Kripalu DansKinetics
works on many levels. The body is cleansed, toned and strengthened,
the mind clears, and the spirit is filled with joy and peace.
Kripalu DansKinetics is indeed a prayer, a gift of harmony
and healing to the Earth.
